Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Indonesia's population in 2023 is approximately 278.71 million people. This number has increased by about 1.07% compared to the previous year's 275.77 million people​.

As of December 2023, the total number of crypto investors in Indonesia has reached approximately 21.5 million people, according to the Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency (Bappebti). This means that around 7.7% of Indonesians own cryptocurrency, which is still significantly lower than the 13.7% cryptocurrency ownership rate in the US, indicating that Indonesia has substantial room for growth in this sector​.
